There is no such thing as a 20" Schwinn Phantom. Hot Rodders call a recreation of a car which was never actually produced a "Phantom". We were originally going to follow that labelling when it came to this IBRKA Show Class. Unfortunately, there's already an actual bike called Phantom, so that label was confusing in our context. Therefore KustomBikes of this type will now be called "Ghost Restorations". This little beauty is our official poster child for this class. We were dumbfounded when we saw a small photo of this bike in Dave Wilson's coverage of Abita Springs 2001. We later managed to get a good look at it in person, during our last visit to Louisiana. It's truly exquisite. |
